Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: What Motor for 1972 13 footer?

I have a 1972 13 foot Whaler with a 35 hp Johnson that needs to be replaced. I know 4 strokes are much heavier than 2 strokes. But what would this board recommend?

Classic 13 Whalers were designed and run their best when used with lightweight motors, that were available back in the day, such as your 35hp OMC,
