I just pirchased a bare hull '70 Nauset for the price of a Kirby vacuum...tight as a drum, dry as a bone. The interior gelcoat is almost completely removed as it was cracked everywhere. The fiberglass floor is in perfect shape. After I epoxy holes, fair and sand, I'm wondering what the best floor covering would be. Given the age and that the floor glass seems a bit brittle, I want to use something thick and tough. I've read about Ultra-Tuff (kinda like pickup bedliner material with small rubber pieces), but it seems somewhat industrial. Interlux Interdeck with sand might be too thin. Looking for been there done that feedback, thanks!

I have been on a boat with this stuff and it's almost too nice feeling to believe, like it massages your feet lol I am going to repair and damaged floor ares,fill and sand, and maybe even paint the floor area with a single coat of awl grip before I put the seadek on to give it the best surface for adhesion. This is the better solution IMO than any of those heavy and dirt holding bedliner coatings.

I put down Dri-dek on both my Montauk and my Outrage 17. While it does not massage my feet, it protects the deck.

Thanks for the replies...two interesting options that I didn't consider until reading the posts. I'm going to build a console before putting on the floor, so I do have time to get samples and see if either beats 'paint'.
