Finally got my personal page running! (sorry for the ads Joe) I am putting her in the water for the first time on Fri and will post more pics then and hopefully I can figure out by then how to directly upload from my computer. Paul

I just uploaded links from my photo bucket, to my personal page, and someone else, finished the job and put them permanently into the Personal Page. Probably one of the administrators. Thank you.

Wasn't able to go...got the *&%# flu late Mon night and am just starting to come out of it. Gonna retry Sun. I'm a bit anxious about the Morse control and its adjustments (WOT, friction detent, etc.). Plus, the outboard has a 15 pitch prop (13 3/4 x 15...[391198]) which was previously used on a pontoon boat and I would like to know if a 17 or 19 would suit the boat better. I'll post reslts as soon as I get off the water. It is a balmy 74 degrees though! Paul

Paul, nice Katama!
Looks much nicer than my 70 katama. If you get the stock front seats in you will be complete and perrrdy
Still very nice even without.

Paul,
If that is a 70hp Johnson or Evinrude, then that is probably a good prop for the job.
That is what I used on my Montauk with the 70hp Evinrude 1985....
The 17 pitch will give you a couple of more mph top end but the hole shot will suffer slightly...

Thanks for the comments Joe and John! I still haven't been able to put her in the water...still coughing up bad stuff but it should be soon though as this illness has been going on 8 days. It has GOT to lift pretty soon. John, I have 2 nice seats (not original design but close) I am going to put in and on the port side, I am going to shoot for a removable design so I can switch the seat out with a cube cooler as conditions dictate. I am designing the platform and attachments as we speak. Joe, the motor is a Johnson 65hp (1973) and that is good news to read about the prop. I drive a boat like Pa Kettle drives his buggy to town so sacrificing a couple of mph on the top end is just fine as long as the hole shot is good. I will defnitely post results asap. The weather "down" here has been gorgeous so I am chomping at the bit. Paul

Paul,
Good luck with your launch and all the best with getting your health back. Yeah those front seats, I bought two stock and only decided to install one because I use the other spot for gear, mostly a bag with fly boxes and my shooting basket.
I am hoping to fish the Chesapeake bay latter this week if the weather holds. Wish it was warmer but the Rocks/Stripers are thick this time of year.
Hope you are having a Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year.
John
