Hi,
I am trying to locate a replacement sump cover (The small piece of wood that covers the bilge) for my 89 Montauk. My existing wood cover has succumbed to age and salt.
I have searched through old postings on the board and have been unable to find a vendor. I downloaded the parts manual and the BW part number is 62296400, although I am not sure if that number is of much use.
Does anyone either have one they want to sell or know of a vendor who sells this part? Any help or advice would be appreciated. I would love to know how others have handled this. Did you just make your own? (what type of wood)
Thanks in advance
-Jim

Jim,
I believe this piece was originally Teak plywood. Much stronger than solid teak.
Most people make their own. There is a drawing in the downloads section of our site for people that are missing this part and don't have a template.
