Can anyone tell me how well this fits under the RPS on your Montauk? Does the cap stick enough for fueling? I would like to get a larger tank and the pate is just too much $$$. Also, are Moeller Tanks made any better than Tempo?

I bought a moeller from Cabelas. i like it, especially the price. you have to slide it out to fill it but that is no big deal because it is usually empty...
here is a pict on my page

Thanks
I have a 05 Montauk and I guess it will fit something like yours. I also plan to paint it white using Krylon Fusion paint.

i bought one spring of '07. like the reply b4, the cap will not clear the seat. the cap seems to leak a little gas when full tank. had them send me a new cap and it has the same problem.
i made it so i can lift my seat to get to the cap, pretty big job to do this.

I also bought a 26 gal. Moeller gas tank, mounted mine just far enought back to remove gas cap at angle. Had it painted off white to match hull color. No leaks on on my gas cap yet. this is model i purchased last year for $120.00, but they sure have gone up, shop around. https://www.surplusunlimited.com/storefront.htm
Good luck.

I ended up purchasing a few years ago a 20 gallon Moeller fuel tank for my 1989 Newtauk...I decided it was far easier for me to put a hinge on the base of the RPS to make re-fueling much easier...no need to slide the tank...just flip it up...

I have a picture of it someplace...when I find it, I'll post it...
