2006 Evinrude E-Tec 150 attached to a new Alumacraft 18 footer that was on display in the Nelson Marine (White Bear Lake, MN) area at the Minneapolis boat show.
The sticker says it carries a 7 year warranty or $1000 cash back.
Thanks to Nelson's and in particular Brian - a pro tournament fisherman. He was kind enough to remove the hood so these photos could be taken.
These photos are much smaller than the originals. Let me know if it would help to post the larger ones or include them in an album to allow you to see more detail.

Nice timing. My father-in-law has tasked me with spec'ing and ordering a new Dauntless 18 for him. Local dealer is recommending the E150DPX Evinrude 150 ETEC over the standard 135 Merc that Whaler offers.

Any opinions as to whether its worth it to make that change?

For my efforts, he is giving me his 17 ft. '96 Montauk, so its worth my time in researching it for him, for sure.

I must have missed this thread. I think I was on vacation or shoveling snow.

Very nice Mike.
I know it has been awhile but since this was posted many people have bought new E-Tecs.

Maybe we should make an article out of this so it doesn't get lost in the threads archive.
