Hi,

Any ideas were to get the capacity plate ??? all I could get was a printable version e-mailed to me by a Whaler Dealership here on Long Island.

Thanks,

Matt,

Doug's links will provide much info. And as he said please send the electronic version you received from the dealer to Jeff Rohlfing - our resident graphics expert. As far as I know it's doubtful you'll find an actual replacement plate.

I think the drill is basically - Take the image in electronic form to a local sign maker and have them make either a plate or a stick-on decal. A 1974 Sourpuss I had was only equiped with a sticker - no metal plate. I think I read that folks were getting theirs reproduced for around $20.

Here is a link to our OEM parts page:http://www.whalercentral.com/photogal...p?album=33. You'll find a few examples of the plates that Jeff has produced.

You can send Jeff a private message by clicking this link: http://www.whalercentral.com/messages...sg_send=35.

Let us know how things work out and good luck.
Mike

MW,

Let me know if I can be of help. If you get me a straight on shot of the plate or if you can find one and send it to me I can create the files needed for a shop to create one for you.

Jeff,

How about the files for a 1976 13' sport?

Here is a link to a photo that was referenced in one of the above CW threads. Is that what you need?

Of course now I can't find it, or the copy I made (both of them). I remember that I contacted "BW" about it, and I got a reply from a BW dealer here on Long Island called "Surfside3". I contacted "Surfside3", and asked about the capacity plate pic/link, they asked me the person's name that sent me the pic/link, of course I could'nt provide that, and there are a few "surfside3" boat dealers on Long Island (all affiliated). I tried the same route again by contacting "BW" (parts), lets hope that the results are the same as the 1st time. If they are, I will post the pic/link. There has GOT to be somebody out there with a '76 -15' sport with a plate still intact, I'm sure a "Trophy Shop" can copy it onto a plate w/ no prob.

Jeff,
I sent you the image Matt sent me of the 15' Capacity plate.
Have you had a chance to look at it yet and/or make a full size drawing of it like you did with the others?
