hi.
i have a boston whaler outrage 21 1996. i have a problem with the steering wheel that i am trying to resolve. it feels like its mechanical without any hydraulic help,
i am trying to figure out what is the part number of the hydraulic pump and cannot do so.
i am attaching some pictures of the pump.
if you have any info for me, i would be very grateful.

Are there any other markings or number on the helm?

What exactly is the problem you have?

Are you trying to replace the pump. If so SeaStar Solutions is the brand preferred. Bay Star models for less than 160hp and Sea Star model for more than 160.

It looks different that a SeaStart helm pump as their unit has a fill screw inset to the body whereas yours sticks out. See

i have a mercury verado 150 .
i contacted seastar and asked for a replacement part.

There is a company that restores seastar helms. Sure you could google it. For about half the price of new. Probably rusted inside and the pistons are dragging. If it is not maintained with regular helm flush it can get water in it from the vent on the top. The restore company is you mail it in and they mail you back it refurbished. Don’t know the Model but do know that is the tilt one and they still make it. Paying full price for that and it will run you a big bill.
