I'm looking for a photo of one of the newer Pate tanks installed in a 170 Montauk. I have a 2005 and over the winter I would like to purchase a new ethanol proof tank. Any photos or links would be a great help
Thanks

Anyone? I'm just trying to get an idea of how far the Pate 24 gallon sticks out of the RPS and what the clearance distance is with the cap. I have seen a photo of the 27 gallon which looks to have a really tight fit under the seat.

I have the same boat as you do (2005) and installed a Pate 24 gal about a year ago. You are correct about clearance issues with the cap on the 27. The 24 is the way to go. At the bottom it extends four inches beyond the seat box. It clears the top by 2 1/2 inches so there are no issues with the cap.

Thanks, What gas connections did you need to purchase for the tank? I'm assuming it does not come with a quick connection

I just installed the 24 gallon tank on my 2007 montauk. It fits under the seat nicely. The hose connection kit can also be ordered with the tank.
