1. Drill out the rivets.

The pads are no longer available. Many owners install 4 squares of almond Dridek instead. www.dri-dek.com

2. Over drill the hole, using a disposable syringe, insert Locktite marine epoxy (white color dries to a close match to desert tan). Cover with clear packing tape to get a smooth finish. Drill for screw hole.

3. Use a hair dryer on HI, not a heat gun. Work at a corner. Use a plastic putty knife. Heat just the corner of the letter, work the putty knife. Once it starts to give, use the heat and knife in parallell and slowly work down and across to the bottom. Use Goof off for the glue residue.

4. Martin Marine Design has a custom fitted and designed platform and ladder for this hull. Select the teak upgrade item in the store. http://www.martinmarinedesign.com/SWI...TFORM.html

5. Sand lightly or until all the grey is gone, then oil the teak.

6. Carver and Westland have very good bimini tops.

Edit -

The 1982 is not desert tan, rather "Outrage grey"
