Does anyone know if Boston Whaler carries a flip flop seat for an 18' Outrage? I would like to remove my leaning post and replace with flip flop.

Thanks,

Key-z

Key-z,

I have a new one for sale but will NOT ship...... Sorry..... No Flip Flop for you, from here..... :D

Keep an eye on eBay or other classifieds...... I have seen them for sale from time to time..

Thanks Joe! I've seen a stainless stain flip flop seat with the cooler underneath the seat on a 19" Montauk that was for sale on eBay. Looked reel nice. Just what I would love to have.

I can get the seat from another (Key West boats) vendor at a reasonable cost but I would have the embossed KW logo displayed on the back rest. Yikes!!!!!!! :o

Key-z,

The original style RPS has the teak seat back.

I have this one on my 1985 Outrage 18 but have since put a brand new cushion on it from Hall's.

I have a brand new one, just like the photo above for sale locally.
Everything is brand new except the teak seat back which has been refinished by me..
Z Legs, SS Pivot Arms, cushion, grab handles, etc., are all brand new.

I have also installed new Lee's vertical rod holders in the seat back which I like much better and they are still available.

I hope you find something... Or stop by and pick mine up....

Sorry for the delay in responding. I've been real busy closing out the year.

Joe, it's not easy finding Lee rod holders.Where exactly did you install them on the back of your seat?

key-z,

I fixed my link above... Sorry....

You can buy the Lee's many places. I forget where I purchased mine at the moment...

Here is the description from Lee's:

And these are the ones I used in the RPS....

Joe,

I am about to get a pair of the Lee holders. Do they fit next to the grab handles or did you need to move the handles?

Mine fit next to the handles. but I did have to grove the teak. The rod holders have the metal stud across the bottom, that sticks out just a bit on both sides. I created slots for that to slide into, and then slipped the rod holders in place. I suppose you could also remove that rod, if you choose.

I got mine on ebay for $50 for the pair.

well one side fit and the other did not. I had to move one of the grab handles a tad but the holes are covered by it's flange so no big deal.

OK

Next question. I have a replacement RPS cushion and went to install it. I believe that the replacement chosen is OEM but it has no holes for the machine screws to fit in to. SO I think that I will need to use long self tapping screws. Any thoughts on this one?
