I've got a 2013 90 hp E-tec on my 1974 16' Katama. I need to replace the prop, and I would appreciate any advice from members who have some experience with this motor-hull combination.

Many thanks.

Dozens of owners of 16' hulls with an E-TEC 90 have tested props. Their recommendations include:

13-7/8" x 17” BRP Viper
13-1/4" x 19” SST
13-1/4" x 17” Turbo 1

Note size only applies to the specific make/model listed.

Engine should be mounted at least 2 holes up, with top engine bolt having 2 empty holes above it.

Expect a WOT of 43-44 mph at 5400 rpm's running light, no gear and solo.

When these results are reached, the engine will be set to run efficiently and well at any speed with people and gear.
