Hello SPIN 1, Did you end up resolving the Mount for your Kicker? I just picked up a Ventura 21 and will be doing a the similar install or a trolling motor.
I have not decided hwich is better. ( Freshwater Trolling in lake ontario or smaller great lakes.) Mixed infor from dealers here. seems Trolling motors are more popular?
any advice as to why you need a 10 HP for trolling? is this for Inshore Ocean use?
Big Wylie.

Hey Wylie I just finished. I ended up using panther adjustable bracket. The problem I had is whaler didn’t want to give info cuz aftermarket part the info I was looking for I figured out. I drilled a small pilot hole on transom cuz wasn’t sure thickness and what was in there. Ended up bout 3” with wood👍 Between the glass Plenty strong Remove rear seat will make it easier to get inside to get washers and locknuts on ss bolts Went with a 9.9 tohatsu 4 stroke and just finished plumbing it to main tank. Also installed panther troll master salt edition with troll master plus remote steer and throttle

As joe suggested look for a rigid mount. The panther adjustable I used works fine and plenty solid. The reason I used that one was I got it cheaper than the fixed mount

Yes I use the boat mostly inshore trolling fir lake trout and salmon , the 9.9 is enough to push it around. Max speed 6mph wot. Don’t think you would want to go much smaller if any than that Before I put it to bed for the winter I take off mooring in my lake and will make a few runs off the New England coast
