I have this idea to lift my 13 foot whaler with my boat lift. As I already have another boat on my lift, I am thinking of hanging it under the other boat. Hanging it from the bunk frames. The lift has plenty of extra capacity and clearence above the water to do this. Can you hang a whaler from its lifting eyes or should straps be used. I think hooking into the lift eyes would be easier and less wear on the hull sides and rub rail but not sure this is a great idea??

I really do not want to shell out 5 K for another lift and please no bottom paint on this perfect hull.

Rory -

While you can lift a 13 by the eyes, they were designed for the weight, I would not want this arrangement. Just too squirly.

they lift from the "Eyes" but, I agree, that set up sounds too "Precarious".
