I am looking to replace the pilot seat for my 1995 outrage 17. I have the z stands and
the swing back but just need the seat with cushion. Any suggestions? thank you.

I would suggest Tena Anderson with Anderson's MFG & Upholstery. Anderson's has original whaler materials for boats dating back to 1968. Here's her information:

As a fellow Outrage 17 owner (had a 1991, now a 1992) welcome to WC.

The advice above is dead on.

Be prepared, Anderson's is a custom shop that do quality work. With the demand for boats and gear, they have a bit of a backlog. Don't worry, it is worth the wait.

I measured mine.

Note the seat cushion in not original. 20-1/2" by 37".

The photos were of my 1991 restoration. My 1992 is underway now.

ok, thanks. We have the exact same z stand and seat back that you have in the photo on your pages. I saw that
there is a large size RPS seat that is 23" wide also available at specialty marine. Do you think that would be too wide for the Z stand which is 16 1/2" wide?

Do not order the seat from Specialty.

It is not the same quality as Andersons' and almost the same price. The vinyl is not as thick, the seat base does not have threaded inserts for the Z legs. It will deteriorate within 2 years.

While there is a wait for Tena and the crew, it is well worth it.
