Looking for info on length, color and brand for a keel guard on a
1978 15' Sport?
(changed to proper name of 15' Sport for clarification)

Install length depends on your trailer setup. Typically install from below bow eye to just forward of first keel roller.
Color is your choice. White is appropriate.
Brand - KeelGuard or KeelShield are two national brands.

The Hamby's Original Beaching Bumper is the best available. They cost a little more and must be professionally installed, but they are indestructible. White would be OK if available, but the black looks great and doesn't show scuff marks. Consider them as an investment to protect you boat. Don't try to save a few bucks buying the Hamby's Light and installing it yourself. Ten years from now you will be glad you did. If you're going to have a Whaler, do it first class.
