I recently bought this used 2009 130 SS and took it out a few times for adjustments, electronics etc. All is good so I take it down to my marina and drop it in water to moore next to my larger boat and the drain line is well below the water line???? WHAT??? The reason I love BW is because the drain scuppers are always ABOVE water line! Ive only owned older 11 ss and 13ss.
Nothing unusual to weigh it down. Added 6 gal fuel tank. and that's all. running with same year 40 HP merc tilt trim etc. I cannot leave boat in water like this. I put it on hyd swim platform on mother ship and it barely lifted it. In fact it looks like platform is now leaning down when its in home position. Is it possible for this boat to be extra heavy because of some problem?
any experience in this would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance, chuck

Was the hull drain below the static waterline when you took the boat out for adjustments, electronics, etc. or during the pre-purchase test? It's hard to imagine a 130 Super Sport gaining an appreciable amount of weight between a few outings and the present.
If you can post a photograph of the boat's transom in the water or out with a line drawn to indicate the actual static waterline on the transom it could be useful.

I didn't check the drain during first few outtings. checking all other things like new electronics etc. Only when I dropped into the water and left it sit a couple of nights while on big boat. I was getting ready to pull the plugs and head home when I noticed it. So I couldn't leave it in water for a week. SO I put it on the Hyd lift of my big boat. I had put my old 2004 130ss on it once before and lift worked well. This time the lift really struggled and looks like its now leaning back after the lift locked in place! So now I'm really wooried Ive damaged $50k lift. So I'm now buying a ez dock to drive BW onto it. Ive had one before and hadn't decided if I was going to get another one or not.
So today I'm going back to boat (2 hr. drive) and hoping the hyd lift is ok.
So it sat in water for 3 nights and left clear water line stain way above drain. 1" to 2" above. So I NEED to know if BW changed the fundamental formula of drain always above waterline?
It certainly seems to me that something is wrong with weight. The boat is in pristine condition with no evidence of fiberglass work anywhere.
only difference between boats is the newer one is a 40HP 4 stroke vrs. old one had two stroke. Not supposed to be that much heavier. Thanks for trying!!!!
