Does anyone know if a 1968 13 sport will plane off with a torqeedo cruise 10. I am trying to convert from gas to electric so I can fish a freshwater waterway that is electric only. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

according to their site -
Tiller-equipped version of the Cruise 10.0
12 kW peak output, 10 kW continuous output – powerful propulsion comparable to a 20 HP combustion engine
My old 13 ran a 20hp honda and it planed and achieved mid 20mph performance.

My early 13' planes easily with a 9.8 Tohatsu 2 stroke with just me.

hwbjr: Did you research and find more information about the performance and more importantly, the range, of the Torqeedo Cruise 10.0? The motor will definitely push your Boston Whaler 13 boat to a planing condition. The limitation is the range. You will not be able to plane for a long period of time, especially if you have only 1-2 batteries onboard. I recommend you have a conversation with someone with more experience, knowledge, and credibility, like Mike Beck of
