Anyone know the best site for actual friendly, knowledgeable Evinrude advice?

I've done compression tests, spark plugs, new fuel lines, anti syphon, etc. But my 1995 Evinrude 115 sneezes and stalls unless I press the key in and prime every minute or so.

I rebuilt carbs per directions.......

you can try the Johnson/Evinrude forum @ marineengine.com

have you given it throttle immediately? Idle RPM could be timed too low?

When did it last run well?

Hi, is the fuel tank built in or are you using portable tanks? If built in tank check the pick-up tube in the tank for any obstructions. The fuel supply pump maybe dodgy, replace it.
The fuel pump runs off the #3 cylinder if memory serves, check gasket behind the pump where it attaches to the block. The diaphragm in the pump maybe bad.

If using portable tanks, check the o-rings at the connections, mabe sucking in air.

No Evinrude specific, but I still bet it is carb re-build related. My Yamaha carbs have some extremely small passages in the jets.

The fact that "choking it" helps leads me to think the above.

A cheap and easy way to take the entire tank and fuel delivery system out of the equation is a remote tank with fresh fuel and line. It is where almost all mechanics start.

I have some success with Mercury Quickleen, a fuel additive. Would love to hear about the fix.
