I have 1997 Evinrude 115 OceanPro. I always started the engine in the driveway before going to the boat ramp and run run for about 15 minutes.
Tilt the engine up and head to the ramp. About a 20 minute drive. Launch the boat and lower the engine and it takes forever to start.
Could it be that when I tilt the motor and the trailer to the ramp all the fuel drains from the carbs.?

I may have found my problem. I just read the operation Manual for the motor.
It says that I should not advance the throttle prior to starting a cold engine. When I advance the throttle it overrides the Quick Start electronic system.
I am 60 years old and been running OMC outboards since I was 5 years old and I have always advanced the throttle. Go figure. Old dog new tricks.
