The 1996 Dauntless 17' is 17' 0" long with a 7 foot beam. Weight 1500 lbs. Max HP 130. Fuel 39 gal.

The 1996 Outrage 17' is 17' 6" long with a 7 foot beam. Weight 1700 lbs. Max HP 150. Fuel 56 gal.

We don't have the Dauntless series in our Model/Year Index yet but we do have many Outrages.
Here are some photos of the 1996 to 1999 Outrage 17' II model that are in the Model section:

The Dauntless has a lower freeboard than the Outrage. The Outrage is a great large/open water boat while the Dauntless tends to be more of bay boat.

Thanks for the response. Yes, we did buy the Dauntless after the Outrage was already sold. We used the boat this past weekend and it was great except for Monday when we got stranded on Lake Berryesssa, we had to be towed in......Later my husband realized the boat neede oil. He put some in and the boat started so we went out again later that day to the Sacramento River the boat ran fine. I know as we get into this we will have alot of questions thanks for all your help. My husband it looking to paint the bottom of the boat any suggestions as to what type of paint to use?
