Hello I have looked every place imaginable even wrote to Whaler and they never wrote back . What is the MAX weight for this transom and does anyone have an 2008 115 merc ( 399 pounds) on one ?

The 1999 Dauntless is rated for max hp of 115 so you are within the hp ratings.

Not sure where you got the 399 pounds from for the 2008 Mercury.
The 2016 Mercury 115 weighs in at 359 pounds for the lightest model.
