I love to learn more and purchase a running Homelite Bearcat 55 for a Nauset I'm refurbishing. Any feedback out there is appreciated!

My father had two 55's and rebuilt several. He absolutely loved them. They were ahead of their time. I ended up selling a running 55 several years ago complete with controls, a large box of extra parts; carbs, gaskets and a factory service manual.

Hey toadfish,I am restoring a 1965 Nauset and live in Bishopville.I am getting ready to purchase the same engine from the guy in California who rebuilds them.Let me know if you run into any other options.

Hey Todd,how is your restore coming along.I have found a running Bearcat but have not installed it yet.Did you get an engine?
