Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: Help with Hull ID #

I was going to purchase this 13 footer from a gentleman in Ga., but he said the hull ID is gone, or he couldn't find it.. Is the plate on the bottom rear of this one suppose to be the ID ?? I thought it was up top. Let me know if anyone has an idea, I hate to spend money and have no ID plate

Earlier Whalers did not have an HIN... These had a stencil number inside the hull usually on the transom.

Turned out this Whaler was a 68 model, picking it up after I get back from the Gulf this weekend. I have a spare 40 I'm going to put on it for the rest of the summer to enjoy. I'll be needing some side stainless rails and such if anyone has any laying around, or even if you know where I can pick some up at. Thanks much
