I feel embarrassed asking this, but what size motor shaft is required on my boat. I bought the boat and the motor was ripped off before I even got it in the water. Where does one measure to and from? Yes, I'm looking for a new motor.

should be 20" shaft. Mount the motor 3 holes up is my advice and use a stainless prop.
