I just recently picked up my new classic 1966 13' whaler from protek9543 in Florida and couldn't be more happier with it. John did a fantastic job restoring it and he is one awesome and talented paint and body guy.
After I got the whaler from John, we all drove up to central Florida to a lake resort for a week. The whaler stayed in the lake the whole week and worked flawlessly. There was another whaler nearby and I notcied the Boston WHaler decals on the side of it were different than the ones I purchased from Ebay. I guess I have a set of "Knock off" stickers. I would like to purchase the original OEM stickers for the boat but do not have any idea on where to start to look for them. Any ideas?
Thank you.
Cliff

Try your local Whaler dealer, They would be able to get them for you. If the decals do nor have a copyright R on them they are not the real Mc Coy.

Guys,
I just purchased decals from Magic Brush. I bought vintage stickers for my Montauk and they look great. They print and ship these type of orders on "Whaler Wednesdays" I received them on Friday. Janis will know exactly what you need based on year and model.
I am happy to extend my full recommendation. You will not be disappointed.

TNelson. Ya, Janis called their shipping day "Whaler Wednesday" to me too. I told her that I guess today was "Too late Thursday" for an order to go out soon and she told me she would see what she could do about sending out the decals out before next Wednesday. I think Janis is a pretty squared away lady and if TNelson is happy with her product, I am sure I will be as well. Janis did ask me for the year and model of the boat. Once I told her what I had, she started rambling off what type of decal I needed.....right then I knew she knew what she was doing.
I bought some knock of decals from eBay back in January and to look at them, they look......okay. But, when compared side by side to another Whaler with the original Decals.......there's no comparison. My knock offs stood out like a sore thumb and it was sort of an embarrasment to me as well.
Thanks for the recommendation for Magic Brush......

Are these hard to find ? I just get them from any "Whaler" dealer, They usually always have them.

Sometimes it's easier to order them online then to go to a dealer and get them. Where I live in Dallas, the nearest dealer is 50 miles away from where I live.....so paying a little more for the sticker is still cheaper that driving my very gas hungry F-150 100 miles round trip.....not to mention what my time is worth. So.......that's why I created a thread asking this question.

Also look at our OEM Parts Photo section for a photo of original style decals.
http://www.whalercentral.com/photogal...hoto_id=48
You will not only notice the ® but the Boston is also in a different location from side to side....
For those of you who haven't seen any of the photos in the above section, take a look.
That's why we post photos of original items so we all know what they should look like.
One more thing on decals...
Whaler used different sizes for different models.
Even earlier Montauks had smaller decals than later Montauks. Same with other models, etc....
You need to know what size you have if it is original and make sure you get that size...
Janis knows but it always doesn't hurt to double check....
