Hello!
I have everything for my stern light assembly except for the globe that covered the bulb. I don't even know what it would have originally looked like. Is there any source for replacing the globe? Even a photo of what it should be would be helpful.
Thanks a bunch!

I saw that picture, but assumed it to be from a later year. The pole I have is slightly different... it's shorter, has no bend in it, and seems to have holes for set-screws to hold the globe. If I have time tomorrow, I can take a picture of the assembly I have to get this going in the right direction.
Thanks for the quick reply, by the way!

woody,
You were asking about the globe so that's why I pointed you to the photo of the globe.
Some of the early models did not have a bend in the pole. The poles, or tubing, was straight.
My 1978 Montauk had a straight pole but had the newer fresnel globe.
The earlier globes were also slightly different. We do not have a photo of the early globe.
If anyone has a good photo of the early globe we would like to post it here. The photo must be yours because we can't post photos without the owners permission.....
You might need to do what captjohn did in the link below. Read his comment at the bottom of the link.

The 1968 Nauset did not use the now common Fresnel Perko lens. It used a globe that has not been used in decades and is completely different than what was used between the early 1970s and the 1990s.
To find an old globe, you need to keep your eyes peeled on Ebay or some other used parts source. They do come up, but are very rare.

saw this discussion, and i am too, looking for that elusive lense. i just broke mine on my 1970 13SS, and did not realize was so hard to find. the name 'Kainer' with part # 1114F is on the bottom of the base. the complete light asembly, looks just like what is pictured in the link above. the retaining base for the lense goes over the lense, and is secured by 3 small screws, which screw into the light base. the OD of the lense is 1 11/16", height, approx 2 1/8". there is a small ribbed design to the lense. the lense you have pictured in Joe's link is also available from Glen-Mar, of Largo Fl. part Fig 248P (clear)$8.05; or Fig 248F (frosted) $10.50. (i have no affiliation). now, where can i find a new lense? Thanks for any help you may be able to give me.
