Love my setup with the old light 2-stroke. Runs great and never lets me down. Has a "stock" 10 x 15 aluminum prop that needs a little TLC.
usage:
Salt: zoom around LA and LB and Alamitos Bay harbors and tow to Catalina for the weekends. At sea level I can just about max out the RPM with four aboard on flat water, With two must back off or over rev.
Fresh: Big Bear lake is the other playground ( + 6000') Can run WOT with two fat boys with nearly full RPM or on a solid plane with four working hard hammer down.
I am thinking that a SS prop with a bit more bight would work well at sea level but at elevation might be too much and the cleaned up aluminum might prove better there. maybe even have it trimmed a tad. Any comments?
i checked the Stiletto offerings and it looks like the smallest they have is a 10.5 x 15 for a 35-40 HP. Would love a recommendation.
Oh...and no tach of course...just the ear of an old 2-stroke MX rider!
