Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: Merc Optimax 135 - What to look for

Hi,
I'm considering the purchase of an Outrage 18 with a 1999 Merc Optimax 135 Saltwater. I have not heard the engine run and do not know what to check for. This is a Canadian boat (>2001) so there is not a ton of time on this motor. Is this a good outfit or are they prone to problems.
