Hello All,

I am in looking into purchasing a 1995 Boston Whaler Dauntless 17' open bow .
I will be using the boat for mostlry bay fishing with the family. Just wondering if anyone in the community has any experience with this particular model?
all info is greatly appreciated.

I also have a dauntless 17 with a 112hp johnnson and the boat performs great. I use it in the delaware bay mith my kids and it does great and is a breeze to clean. Great for fishing and the self bailing feature is a plus, handles the chop with ease. If your motor is around 115 hp you might have to install a doel fin as it will help get the boat on plane with the family easier also have the weight positioned more towards the bow as it will help also. If the boat has more horsepower like around 130 you shouldn't have no problems at all. What a great boat.
