I was cruising through YouTubeWorld, and came upon two whaler-related videos that I really enjoyed. The first is a BW (actually "Brunswick") commercial for government/commercial products. Shows an armed Whaler shooting up another Whaler, Bonnie and Clyde style. I'm sure most of you old timers have seen it, but thought I'd post here for anyone else.

The next is more recently posted... Classic whaler trip (what model, Joe? Nausett?) I wonder if they are members.
Puget Sound tour
Final one is purely for its humorous value... you do NOT want these two guys launching your boat!
Captain?

Dan,
The Puget Sound tour looked like a Sakonnet without the RPS....
It has the front platform of the Sakonnet model but that platform was also an option on the Nauset and Eastport model.. So, hard to say with the seat missing....

That boat is a beauty.
It has a Sakonnet "style" platform, but it's either been painted white, or added later made from some other material. From the looks of his immaculate console, I'd be hard pressed to believe that platform was the original mahogany item, or it would be gleaming like the rest of his craft....
So I'm going with...Nauset...with a custom platform!

Ha! Ha! Ha!!!!!:p
Never saw that Bruswick commercial before.....What a Hoot!
I loved the fact they towed it back, for another round of target practice after blowin' the Hell out of it......
Didn't sink....!

Get the Heck Outta Here!!!!
I've seen a number of 'em that were gorgeous mahogany.....
That's the first and only I've seen in white...
but that guy's boat is so exceptional, I wouldn't doubt for a minute that it's true OEM....
And I'm planning on building one 'cause I like that platform up front....in Mahogany....!
Once again..... I stand corrected:(

I'll even go one further for you Dan...
I believe the front platforms were made of pine and painted white...
Yes, that's right... I can't find the listing in the catalogs yet, but I know I have seen it listed.
I agree with you.. If I ever made one, it would be out of mahogany and then varnished to match the rest of the boat.

Right On......
The truth is...nowadays....the mahogany material is competively priced with (clear) pine...in my neck of the woods.....who'd a ever thunk?

That was "COOOL" Dan, Good find ! They were really putting the "Pepper" right on that "Whaler", with "M-60" (side mount) and ".50 Cal. (front mount) rounds"... I noticed no "Incindiary" (tracer) rounds though ? LOL .

Joe, I might want to build a platform for mine sometime (not in pine, I guarantee!) but I've never seen any good photos of one, or drawings. Can you point me anywhere? Framing details would also be nice. Anyone out there have one with a platform?
danedg: They had to tow it back, because they couldn't get the darn thing to sink! She sat nicely in the water, still!

Dan,
You must have missed it....
There is a drawing of the Forward Casting Platform for the Sakonnet in the downloads section.
This drawing consists of 7 pages once downloaded...

Blake.... would be fun to be on the shooting side!
Joe.... Thank you. If you run across a good photo(s) of the finished project, let me know. Looked at the Sakonnet, Eastport, and Nauset in the mod/yr index, but none appeared to have it
Wouldn't mind ordering one for 150 bucks, even if it was pine!
