Not mine but was checking out the ice in the harbor and saw this:

Man I'm done with winter. Usually get out a few times for stripers but not this winter. The river is locked up solid and it looks like it's going to be a while.

Same here, this winter has been brutal! I thought at the end of January we would coast the rest of the way....yeah, not so much! The snow is melting off of the shrink on my Montauk, but I have no idea when the roadside 4-5' berms will melt so I can actually tow it out of the side yard!

Whaler covered in barn snug & cozy. Keuka and Seneca Lakes frozen. Doubt boat be in water until late April, at best.

Swear there are polar bear tracks around the barn.

Wow, that's sort of like beating your dog and chaining him outside for the winter. Would not do that to a boat.

I am normally chasing salmon in February but lake Michigan is frozen from Chicago 65 miles to Michigan and at least another week before it starts to get better. Serious case of Cabin Fever.

This winter has been very cold indeed, so to keep me in the deep freeze I am working on a buisness opportunty that could take me to Yellowknife in the North West Territories for several years, it is on the shore of the Great Slave lake, the deepest lake in North America at over 2000 feet of depth. From what I have read the lake thaws sometine in May, but the fishing should be superb.

Not sure if I will haul my Whaler on a 5000 KM road trip though.

Marc, I'm not sure you'd want to haul your Whaler up there. I've traveled some of those northern Canadian roads and there are a lot of them that are rough gravel. That wouldn't be good for the bottom of your Whaler.
