Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: Best prop for a 150 Montauk with a Merc 60

Just trying to see if any of you have any recommendations for a PROP on My 150 Montauk 60 HP MERC engine? just trying to get as much performance as I can from that little guy but it seems to struggle a bit and takes a while to plane with a moderate load. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance guys!

Assuming you have the "BigFoot" gearcase, I would seriously consider Mercury's brand new 4-blade aluminum "Spitfire". Check it out at Mercury.com. Mercury's aluiminum props are surprising good, and this model supposedly aids in acceleration and pulling power without losing top end speed.
