Fellow whaler enthusiast once again I'm in need so some good advise. I need to re-power my whaler is a 13' 1980 sport and the old 35hp 2 stroke johnson has not been very reliable lately, (good thing I have a sea tow membership). I'm looking at the new 30hp suzuki DF30ATL outboard, it comes with all controls cables, remote control fuel line, gas tank and propeller as well so I won't have to spend money there and is fuel injected. Also another good thing about this motor is that it weights 158lbs not too heavy for my old 1980 sport. I would like to hear your thoughts on this. Performance, reliability past experiences etc. I'm planning on using the boat mostly to cruse down biscayne bay here in miami fl.
Thanks in advance

Hello. The suzukis are good motors. As long as you have ample technical support for it, which I'm sure you do in Miami, you'll be fine.
