Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: Outrage 18' fuel tank cavity

Hello;
I am in the process of removing my Whaler's (1983 18' Outrage) fuel tank, since water is accumulating around it in the boats' central cavity (the wood on the floor was rotted, but I've installed new boards, thanks to the forum). This fuel tank has been replaced before, in the 90's, but I believe they clogged the drain with the expanding foam.
My question; is the drain in the lower part of the transom supposed to drain the fuel tank area? A rod was inserted into the drain, but no water escapes.
Thanks for now, great site, very very helpful...
