I just thought I would say hello,

I just got a 1982 15' Boston Whaler Sport and started the rebuild, I am not very far along yet, just cleaning it up so far but its been a lot of fun already just researching what I want it to look like

I am trying to get my page online, I might need to shrink my pictures though.

Check back if you like in a few days to see the page

Comments, and suggestions, and well any help is always appreciated :)

Congratulations on the new to you Whaler. I picked up a 1988 15 SS last Dec. Got it in the water last month. A lot of work but love the boat. I had to rework the trailer and motor but no fiberglass repairs. Hope your rework goes smooth. Let me know if I can help. 1988 15 Super Sport 60 Johnson

Great thanks :) so far I am loving it, granted all I have done is scrub it

I would love to see some pictures of your configuration, right now I am looking at the engine setup and placement of fuel tank, battery, and a cooler

and little things like where to put rod holders and cleats

Welcome to WC, and to the 15 club! It's a great boat - not all that practical compared to other Whaler models, but great fun.

By the way, you can't put cleats on a classic Whaler - it causes them to sink:-).

well as long as the rod holders can go I am ok, gotta have an excuse to go fishing

and I wouldn't want the money I spend on rod holders to be wasted

I will look into resizing my pictures so everyone can see them

Ianto - Congratulations. You will love your 15! By the way I have lots of family in New Orleans and spent several years down there while I was in school. I used to take my uncle's Super Sport 15 out on lake Pontchartrain, the industrial canal, marsh, and other area waters all the time. It was a blast and was the inspiration for purchasing my Sport 15.

Fifteener here also. Welcome to the group. I, too, am looking forward to putting mine in the water this spring.
