Hello fellow whaler Owners.

I just recently purchased a 1962 Nauset in pretty good shape. By this I mean the Hull is in good condition, but the wood work is not. The mahagoney console and seats were "west Systemd", epoxyed, to preserve them, then painted with top side painted white. The paint job and west system is very lumpy, and drippy leaving a very textured finish.

I'm looking to replace these items with the new style (80's) fiberglass console and swing back seat in the cockpit, and just a cooler seat for in front of the console.

Are there any leads as to where I can obtain these items. I checked my local whaler dealer on obtaining these items, but they do not carry them (as stated by dealer rep). They do not necessarliy need to be whaler oem parts, but reasonably priced after market items will do just fine.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Well the best place to keep a look out is on EBay for OEM stuff. There is a place out of Kemah Texas that always has consoles and swing back (Reversible Pilot Seat, RPS)seats on there. Or Anderson (an OEM whaler supplier) has there own knock off of the RPS

If you do not need OEM take a look at www.fpmarine.com. These guys has all kinds of consoles and seats. If you do not see anything you like on their site give them a call they are always getting new stock.

Also you could try Sue at Twin Cities Marine. They might have something OEM whaler for you, or they could order it.
