I just purchased a 2007 Montauk 190. I was wondering what my best option would be for a trolling motor considering that the rails make it difficult to mount one to the bow..

I had a 1985 17' Montauk that I put a 3 hp Minnkota Powerrdrive trolling motor on a slide-in removable mount on the front of my boat. I have photos of the mount, and the aluminum bracket that I made to hold it.
I will see if my son can scan these photographs and send me pictures that I can post or send to you.
I also installed gunnel boards on the rear of my Montauk to hold my Penn downrigger bases. I have pics of this also.
These boards were installed on both port/starboard mini Montauk gunnels. I use to see downrigger users clamp a board from the one side of the boat to other. The problem with this set-up is it gets in the way of raising/trimming the outboard up.
If my son can scan these photos I will post both.
