A few years ago, I replaced (2) small hatches that cover the wells/sumps in the stern of my 25 Outrage. I used starboard, "seafoam" which looks off-white. It didn't quite match the desert tan hull but it was much better then white. The material has held up great and is easy to clean.....
I was surfing the web and visited the King Starboard website and discovered they have some new colors. They have "Sanshade tan" which looks very close to Whaler desert tan. I sent an e-mail requesting a sample. They also have "Starboard AS" which has nonskid molded into the surface. This would be a fine replacement for old hatches.
I know many classic Whaler owners prefer the wood but, I thought I should share this information. I do not work for King Starboard or any company that sell plastic products.:D

Thanks for the heads up Mike...
That starboard is useful in many situations and for people that are tired of taking care of the wood.
I am interested in seeing the new color(s)...

Mike,
I just received my new samples for our material library at work. I forgot to bring them home to check the colors against the desert tan. I will do that on Monday.
Also from the same vendor received new sample of Kydex. It looks like the color and textures used on the outrage fuel filler / side close out panles are available again as well.
