Hi, I am about to buy a 1995 24ft outrage equiped with 2 200hp evinrudes, the person is recently divorced and supposedly just looking to get rid of it, it looks like it was used pretty good and they are asking 11k, it is has all the electronics including radar. I have never owned a boat before and was wondering if this is a fair price, took it out on a test drive and everything seemed ok, is there anything else I should look out for? Thanks in advance, I really don't know much about boats.:D

Uh, my feeling is that it's a great buy! Do not pass GO, do not collect $200. Buy that boat!
Will he take 9, cash?
(but I ditto MW's caution, below. Good suggestion to have someone along that knows boats.)

I don't know, I'm a doubting "Noo Yawkah", if something looks too good to be true, it usually is, I strongly suggest that you bring someone with you that has knowlage of boats, I wish you the best of luck, and hope I'm wrong. then again, with the price of fuel today, and those thirsty monster's on the back, he might be dumping the boat. The engines are over the 10 year mark, so remember, with dual engines, maint. is double the price, so is "Re-powering".

pay a couple hundred bucks find a good marine surveyor, and have him go over the boat for you he should check everything on the boat. also do some research and see if the surveyor is fimiliar with outboards.. in yrs working on boats thats the best peace of advice i can give also on a scary note i think for every good surveyor there are several bad. so do your research. the web is a great place for that. when the survey is done you should feel confident on your purchase. its to bad your not in the md area i know several good surveyors. well goodluck gotta go way over on the eastershore to look at a boat today!!

From all outward appearances, you had better hurry before someone else finds it or the Seller changes his mind. That sounds like an unbelievable fantastic deal! Almost like something is wrong............I would be very careful about paying for it to make sure you aren't being scammed.
Send pics when you get it :) Good luck
