Hi all,

I'm looking for pictures/diagrams or an actual pony bracket for my revenge.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Ron

I have a 1979 22 ft Revenge and it came with a kicker motor bracket on it. It was installed on the port side almost beneath the gunwales, just where the transom thickens. The top of the bracket mount is 5/8 inch below the height of the transom itself. The previous owners placed it there to get clearance for the trim tabs. It is made by Garelick model number 71090. It is an "accordion" style.

The previous owners installed an eight inch access port at the back of the boat and chopped away some of the foam to get three through bolts through the transom area for mounting the bracket that would have been inaccessible otherwise (or required lag bolts). All in all it is a nice position for the kicker motor. I contacted Garelick because it was hard to lower and that particular bracket is made for a heavier motor. They had me cut one of the spring ends and now it is well balanced. My motor is a 2006 9.9hp 4 stroke Yamaha long shaft that weighs 100 lb. plus/minus.

My first kicker was tiller handled and beat the heck out of itself (as well as the boat) and only lasted a couple of trips. I then found the remote controlled Yamaha which works well with all the controls at the helm. Aside from the fact that when I picked up the boat some one left the cover off the access port (I believe the source of some rain water intrusion) it really is a nice set up. I am picture challenged but send me an email with phone number (check profile for address) and I will see about some phone images.
