Some of you will recall the escapade where the guy working on refinishing the mahogany on my 1961 Nauset tried to steal my boat.
I was able to recover her and took the boat to Superior Marine to complete the refinish. It turned out awesome. Larry at Superior Marine recomeneded to Keels and Wheels that my Nauset 16 as the first Whaler in Texas, was worthy of displaying in their show.
I received an official invitation to participate late last year and I sent in the info on my boat. A couple of weeks ago I received an acceptance to enter, and it will be on display in the water, as it should be.
Keels and Wheels Concourse d' Elegance - Lakewood Yacht Club, Seabrook, Texas, May 3 - 4, 2014.
Benefitting Boys and Girls Harbor
This is a huge show and known to serious auto/boat collectors nationwide. I was browsing through the photo gallery from last year, and Jay Leno was one of the attendees!
In the past, their boat entries have mainly been wooden classics. I am proud to have my plastic, foam and wood baby, in such a prestigious show.

Congratulations on the invitation! Your Whaler is certainly worthy and will be right at home amongst the other fabulous entrants. Sure wish I lived closer.
