Which picture website should I use to post links to photos of my whaler? Thanks

I use my own ISP because the photos can be whatever size I want and because I'm already paying for the storage anyway. Most folks have this available to them as well, but are unaware if it.

I use and recommend Flickr. It is free, and has Terrabytes of space allowed for each of it's users. There is no limit in size of the photos that I have ever exceeded in a single photo, and I never have to pay attention to the size of a single photo and adjust it before I upload.
Each photo that is posted is large enough for clear viewing in thumbnail, and when a photo is clicked on, the full-size version appears singly and then all photos can be flipped through sequentially by clicking on pop-up arrows on either side of each individual photo.
You can also make sets from photos that are related to each other and then use these links for a pictorial when you write.
I have my entire "photostream", as it is called by Flickr, public, but you can make any photo you upload private, and you can make your photostream private, and still have a set you want to use is illustration from it, as a public viewable.
Here is a link to a recent set I made up for this site:

There has been problems in the past with FREE photo websites.
They have a tendency to quit.
There used to be:
Yahoo photos
AOL photos
and quite a few more I can't even remember.
I have been doing this for over 20 years and have seen many problems with this free sites.
When they quit, you loose all your work. All your photos, albums, slideshows, etc.
They do however usually give you time to download all your photos if you don't already have them backed up.
Another problem when they quit.
All the links you have ever posted to your photos on all the sites you visit, are now DEAD.
My advice is like Tom's.
Create your own albums, slideshows, etc. If you don't know how, learn.
It's like riding a bike or tying your shoes. Once you learn, you don't forget. Unless of course something happens to your mind.
An easy site for Mac users is Apple's iCloud. I don't think Apple is going away anytime soon.
We have one member using iCloud to host his photos on his website link.
Here is an example of iCloud.

Otherwise, choose your free photo site cautiously and have all your photos backed up.
They could be gone tomorrow.

Every time I try and post a photobucket pic the pic doesn't show up, only a link to it. It doesn't do that on other message boards. Any idea why here?

The revenge.
We no longer allow that here.
People couldn't control themselves and it got completely out of hand.
One person put up a couple of photos, the next put up 10 photos, and then the next put up 50 photos.
Members didn't want to be forced into viewing photos as they preferred just reading in the forums.
So, only links to photos are allowed here and it is best to put
ONE link to your photo album rather then 50 links to 50 individual photos.
Thanks for everyone's co-operation.
