hopefully soon I will be putting the tank back in the my outrage. it is held in place on the sides with foam, and on top by 3 aluminum straps lag bolted in to stringers. Under the aluminum straps, are some "fabreeka pads" and under those, was some deteriated material, listed in the parts manual as "shim, tank, fuel".
Anyone have any idea what the shims were made of? else I wll just rip some 1/8 plywood.

Three months ago I installed a new Florida Marine gas tank. The shims are actually flat foam sheets. I would use that over plywould.
