I'm going to be replacing all 8 of the drain tubes on my Outrage this week and had a question about bottom paint contact. In Joe's
Article on Transom Repair, he makes the point to not get any bottom paint on the drain tubes (I wasn't sure if this was for aesthetics or maybe dissimilar metal reaction?). I'm wondering if this holds true for the bottom drain tubes also, and how close I should get with the bottom paint to avoid growth. I'm also going to be replacing some of the clamshells and I'm assuming it's OK to apply bottom paint over them? Thanks.
