This is a follow up on my previous post. I've decided on a continental trailer, but getting one in my neck of the woods is next to impossible. I've contacted a dealer in Jacksonville, Florida and here is the quote. I'm looking for anyone interested in getting one so we can split the cost of shipping. This dealer is knowledgeable and the price is competitive.

Boat trailer by Continental. Model CV-720 Galvanized Trailer , 12” Keel Rollers with 8ft Bunks, 2600 GrossCapacity, Net Load at 2,000# , 13”, Load Star Tires
Frame width 59” , Trailer Width 78” and total trailer length 19’ 3”
Standard Equipment includes: Galvanized Frame, Axels, Wheels.
Tongue Jack, Waterproof Lights, Adjustable Winch Stand and Bow Stop
Winch with Strap, Flat Bunks and 8 ft. long
NOTE: According to the picture the bunks are 2X6 X 8ft long ,5 ft would be short
to span from front to back.
1,395.00 1,395.00
Shipping an... Freight would be approx 1200.00 but we can stack multiples on top of each other
, so if you want 4 trailers that would be 300.00 each. 1 trip directly to you! Thats
834 Miles @ 1.50 per mile!

When were you interested in having it delivered? I need a replacement trailer for my 1980 22' Revenge and will likely need to have something custom made but I won't be in the position to buy anything until around Spring/Summer. I'd first need to find out from your dealer how much the trailer would cost to make sure its in the budget before diving into the waters too deep, but if interested in following up on that possibility, send me an email. It's listed in my profile. Thanks.

John

Here's an update. Looks like we have 3 interested parties. One or two more would be ideal. We're still working on a better shipping rate. Let me know if you're interested.

One of you interested parties could pull 4 or 5 of them stacked up. Split the cost for that amongst yourselfs and your shipping cost will be reduced. One of you must have some massive diesel pickup truck that can easily handle something like that.

Finally settled the issue with my trailer. Thanks to JimD for hauling this baby back from Florida in horrible weather. It's nice to know there are good people on the internet that will help out total strangers. I don't know if JimD does this for fun, but if any of you in the midatlantic region need to get conti trailers from Florida, you should really hook up with JimD when he makes another run. Hopefully he'll do the next one after the thaw.
