Sitting there with the wife last evening
I was distractingly looking at the latest episode of "The Dome"
My attention was suddenly focused on a water scene involving a very sweet Classic Whaler.
The brand names of the outboard and hull were blanked by stick ons
The style of the craft spoke for itself.
I thought that I recognized a 1978 Montauk driven by one of the main character's of the serie named Big Jim.

I must admit that the sight of the Classic was like a breath of fresh air..
Wonder if the 1978 year was precisely the right one for the model?

Those motor controls are mounted on a 1983 and later console.
Impossible to tell the year of the boat from that shot.
However, there are also several other things that point to this as being a much newer model.
I will let other members here explain the details should they notice them.

When did they switch to the white reversible seat back on the Montauk? That should be one indicator.
