I put Micron CSC anti-fouling paint (Black) on my 15' Sport over 4 mos ago. I roughed the surface before I put it on and it appears to be adhearing well. I use in Salt Water and now I am finding that if touch the bottom when it is wet with my hand, the paint appears to come off on my hand. When I wash it and run a sponge across it, the black will get all over the sponge. When I inspect the bottom, I see no signs that the paint is wearing off, but something has got to be going on for the color to be getting on everything it touches. Anyone have any idea as to what is going on or any suggestions as to how to prevent it? I'm really concerned about what is going to happen when I need to repaint the bottom again in a year or so.

There is no way to prevent it as that is what the Micron CSC paint is supposed to do. It is a self cleaning ablative paint so when wet and the boat is moving the passing water removes microns of paint exposing the new clean paint below it.

Thanks Jeff......when the time comes to repaint, should I use the same paint?
