I finally got one of the drain tubes installed. I will try to post a couple of pics.

Here are the pics. One of the splashwell tubes installed. Photo came out blurry but the drain tube installation looked as good as I would have hoped for. Used the ball peen hammer to finish it but it looks good.

I used Tom W. Clark's air hammer technique to flare the other end of a 6 inch one end pre flared tube. Then I cut the tube in half to use it for the two splash well drains. This picture also shows a practice drain tube I installed on a piece of 2x4

very nice! Looks like the left side of the tube is more discolored than the other end. Did you anneal it longer?

Dan:

No I didn't anneal it longer. I bought a 6 inch tube that came with one end already flared. So I did not anneal that end at all. I annealed the other end and flared it with the air hammer while I held as shown by Tom W. Clark in his article. I then had a 6 inch tube with a flare on each end and cut it in half. I then used one of the halves to do the drain tube pictured above with the flare tool after annealing the other end of that one half. I will next anneal the other end of the other half and install it in the other splash well with the flare tool.
