Thanks all! Forgive the filthy bottoms in some of the pics. That was pre paint before this season.
Both boats are in the water and running awesome!
It's also Rockfish season and the fishing hasn't been bad so far!

Well after a quick Perchin' trip the Bay decided to rear her ugly head this past weekend. It went from a bit choppy to downright rude. I had 6 people including me on board. When we left home about an hour and a half before wind was 5-10 and waves were about 1 foot. On the return trip we could only make about 6/8 knots in the head on conditions. Waves were 4-6 feet and wind was nearly 20 knots.
I decided to seek safe harbor (about 5 miles from home port) and arrange for the trailer to pick me up. This was some of the roughest water I've seen in a while on the Chesapeake.
No complaints about the boat. I couldn't have asked for anything better. She returned captain and crew to port safely (even though it wasn't home).
Moral of the story: Swallow your maritime pride and take the safe route. I've seen too many 'accidents' happen. I'm not about to risk life and limb when I know there is a safer option.
